Build Reliability Engineer II

Relativity Space•Long Beach, CA

About The Position

Relativity Space is hiring a Build Reliability Engineer II to help ensure quality is built into each stage of the Terran R design and production process. The Reliability team works closely with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to understand hardware and operational constraints, shape decisions proactively, balance risk, and establish processes, controls, and inspections that can scale as the program moves toward production and broader operations. The role may involve design-related work such as drawing standardization, design for manufacturability (DFM), and configuration management and control; planning work such as reviewing work instructions and developing processes and standard rework or repair documentation; manufacturing work such as in-process build verification and coordination of travelled work; and program work such as nonconformance ticket processes, as-built verification, and root cause and corrective action. The engineer will drive quality initiatives for the growing launch vehicle program, potentially including specification development, walk-down checklists, quality-inspection automation, and DFM practices. The role also develops working relationships across Engineering, Additive, Manufacturing, Test, and Launch teams to support company objectives.
