About The Position

Provide professional, efficient, friendly, and responsive customer service to restaurant, buffet, or steakhouse guests. Inform guests of specials, answer questions about menu items and preparation, take orders, and serve food and beverage items. This is a full-time swing-shift position in a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week casino environment, with varying shifts that include weekends and holidays. The work environment includes exposure to secondhand smoke.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years.
Current S. Nevada Health District Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Team-oriented, flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated.
Able to follow procedures and work in a busy restaurant atmosphere.
Able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
Able to lift food service trays weighing up to 50 pounds to shoulder level.
Able to perform extended standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and similar activities; must have above-average agility and dexterity.

Responsibilities

Maintain current and accurate information about menu items, including preparation, seasoning, ingredients, and plate presentation.
Upsell appetizers, beverages, and desserts while taking orders, in accordance with restaurant service standards.
Enter food orders accurately into the POS system to ensure correct preparation.
Deliver prepared food to guests and return to the table to ensure satisfaction.
Present checks for payment, thank guests, and invite them back while following scripting guidelines.
Recognize Platinum players and relay that information to other team members.
Listen and pay attention to verbal and non-verbal communication.
Provide extra assistance to guests with special requests or needs.
Interact with guests and team members in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner, including during stressful peak business periods.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
