About The Position

The Buffet Attendant is an integral member of the team and helps create a seamless, welcoming dining experience for every guest. The role is responsible for the appearance, cleanliness, and replenishment of the buffet area, and works closely with Front and Back of House Team Members to support daily breakfast buffet service at Revel & Rye and Broadway Lounge in the NY Marriott Marquis in Times Square. The Buffet Attendant is expected to support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality, communicate warmly with guests and colleagues, and demonstrate knowledge of service steps, menu items, and food preparation. The role may also take on other duties or projects as needed to support organizational goals.

Requirements

Experience in a similar role in a high-volume, fast-paced establishment.
A service-oriented mindset and ability to multitask.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
Work closely with Front and Back of House Team Members to drive daily breakfast buffet service.
Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and replenishment of the buffet area.
Help create memorable guest experiences and hold one another accountable for doing so.
Communicate effectively and maintain a pleasant, friendly attitude.
Demonstrate knowledge of steps of service, menu items, and food preparation.
Take on other duties or projects as necessary to support organizational goals.
