About The Position

Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain is hiring a full-time Budtender for its R. Greenleaf retail operation. The Budtender provides exceptional customer service, in-depth product knowledge, and a positive, educational shopping experience. The role requires enthusiasm for cannabis products, dedication to compliance, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment that supports responsible and informed consumption. The position involves welcoming customers, learning about their preferences, recommending products, and explaining product advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods. Budtenders also maintain an appealing and organized store, keep current on products and regulations, process sales and cash transactions, follow company policies and applicable regulations, collaborate with coworkers, and support the Management Team with store operations. Compensation is $13.00 per hour plus variable tips, with an advertised earning opportunity of up to $19.98 per hour. Employee perks also include paid time off and employee discounts. Schedules vary with business needs; stores may operate seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., depending on location.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to lift 25 pounds or more multiple times per day.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers professionally, listen to their preferences and requirements, and provide personalized product recommendations.
Educate customers about cannabis products, including their advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
Keep the store neat and visually appealing, with well-organized product displays.
Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and changing regulations.
Manage cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales.
Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, customer-centric work atmosphere.
Support the Management Team with customer assistance, checkouts, cash handling, and other store activities.
Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
