About The Position

The part-time Budtender works in the Retail department at a LivWell location, providing exceptional customer service, in-depth product knowledge, and a positive, educational shopping experience. The role supports responsible and informed cannabis consumption by offering personalized recommendations, explaining product advantages and potential effects, and discussing safe consumption methods. Budtenders also maintain an appealing store environment, process sales and cash transactions, follow company procedures and applicable regulations, and collaborate with the Management Team and other team members. Work schedules vary according to business needs; stores operate seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
• Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers professionally and listen to their preferences and requirements.
• Provide product insights and personalized recommendations based on customer preferences and intended use.
• Educate customers about cannabis product advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
• Keep the store neat and visually appealing, and maintain organized product displays.
• Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and changing regulations.
• Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales.
• Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, customer-centric work environment.
• Support the Management Team with store activities and operations, including customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
