DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role helps support the fiscal operations of the Department of Human Services by gathering financial data, processing accounting work, and keeping provider information accurate. As a Budget Analyst 1, you will perform the following duties: Invoice Processing: Review invoices and prepare journal entries and accruals for timely payment Financial Reconciliation: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closeouts and system reconciliations Contract Budgeting: Examine allocations and verify accurate entries for provider contracts and modifications Data Coordination: Collect fiscal and operational information from providers and internal offices System Usage: Work with JD Edwards, OnBase, MPER, KIDS, and CIPS to complete fiscal tasks Project Support: Participate in meetings, group projects, and special assignments to help achieve agency goals Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) hybrid, up to 2 days per week after 6 months of employment. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Requirements

  • One year of experience in technical budget administration work
  • Graduation from a four year college or university; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
