BSS Solution Train Engineer

Prodapt•Richardson, TX

About The Position

Prodapt is an AI-first strategic technology partner serving telecom and technology enterprises. The BSS Solution Train Engineer (STE) serves as the Epic-level delivery leader and integrator for BSSe. The role ensures that scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and commitments are visible, aligned, and actively managed from pre-planning through execution. It requires strong Agile delivery experience, executive-ready communication, structured problem solving, and the ability to influence across teams while leaving ownership with product, engineering, architecture, testing, and business partners. The STE is expected to lead by example in AI adoption, identifying how agents and automation can reduce manual effort, accelerate decisions, and improve delivery predictability. The role also leads and coordinates AI efforts for assigned Epics and the program, identifying use cases, defining success measures, building agents or partnering with others to do so, tracking adoption, and scaling effective practices. It drives continuous improvement in operating cadences, delivery discipline, governance, data quality, accountability, and repeatable program practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Communication, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of Agile delivery, program delivery, technology delivery, or related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Agile development, Agile delivery practices, Agile metrics, and/or scaled Agile environments.
  • Experience facilitating Program Increment planning, Epic-level planning, dependency management, delivery governance, demos, retrospectives, and cross-functional working forums.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle concepts, including feature decomposition, dependency sequencing, development readiness, test readiness, defect management, release readiness, and production validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-team delivery involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, changing scope, and uncertain conditions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and delivery information clearly and concisely to peers, delivery teams, and senior leaders.
  • Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, organizational discipline, critical thinking, negotiation skills, and bias for outcomes.
  • Experience using delivery tools and data to manage scope, status, dependencies, risks, milestones, action items, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience using approved AI and automation tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency, planning quality, delivery insight, and follow-up while applying human judgment, validation, and responsible AI practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence without authority and work effectively across product, engineering, architecture, testing, and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated execution view for assigned Epics, covering scope, sequencing, delivery status, dependencies, risks, milestones, critical path, and impacts to commitments.
  • Lead Epic-level pre-planning and Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness so teams understand scope, outcomes, feature decomposition, dependency needs, and milestone expectations.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional Epic forums that support visibility, decisions, action closure, and accountability across TPM, product, architecture, CQE, engineering, and delivery teams.
  • Identify, validate, document, sequence, assign ownership for, follow up on, and escalate dependencies before they create milestone risk.
  • Maintain feature and Epic delivery data so it is current, complete, and trusted for planning, execution, reporting, and leadership decisions.
  • Escalate likely misses, unresolved dependencies, delivery risks, and readiness gaps early, explaining impacts, accountable owners, mitigation options, decisions needed, and timing.
  • Translate delivery details into milestone-level impact and decision-ready guidance for leaders, including implications for critical path, commitments, and release confidence.
  • Partner with CQE and delivery teams to align Epic-level test strategy, environment readiness, defect resolution, and production validation plans.
  • Use approved AI tools and agents to improve planning, reporting, follow-up, delivery analysis, risk detection, and responsiveness; validate outputs, protect data, and apply sound judgment.
  • Lead and coordinate AI efforts for assigned Epics and the program, including identifying use cases, defining success measures, building or partnering to build agents, tracking adoption, and scaling effective practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operating cadences, delivery discipline, governance, data quality, accountability, and repeatable program practices.
