About The Position

Wilson & Company is seeking a Bridge Practice Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership for its Bridge practice across the West Region. Reporting directly to the Bridge National Practice Lead, AVP, this role contributes to technical excellence, staff development, financial performance, and strategic growth. The position involves frequent regional travel for leadership and client engagement. The Bridge Practice Lead oversees practice leads and project managers, supports project delivery and quality assurance, manages team utilization and financial performance, and advances recruitment, retention, and staff development. The role also supports regional business development and marketing, maintains client and project information in Vantagepoint CRM, builds internal and external relationships, and represents Wilson & Company at industry events. Wilson & Company provides engineering, architecture, planning, environmental, surveying, geospatial, and construction management services. Requirements

At least five years of relevant experience in structural engineering leadership or practice management.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses to support regional growth.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
Demonstrated success managing financial performance, utilization, and project delivery.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
Established relationships within the structures and infrastructure industries to support business growth.
Professional demeanor and ability to engage effectively at all levels within and outside the organization.

Nice To Haves

Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

Mentor, collaborate with, and oversee structures practice leads and project managers within the West Region.
Manage team utilization, backlog, and financial performance in alignment with company goals.
Monitor the pursuit pipeline and operational labor backlog to balance workload and staffing.
Collaborate across offices and practice areas to promote cross-discipline integration and shared success.
Implement and ensure compliance with firm-wide safety and quality policies.
Communicate transparently and proactively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Provide ongoing mentoring, training, and development opportunities for project teams.
Coordinate with regional leadership to achieve intentional staffing, recruitment, and retention goals.
Actively manage and support project delivery through technical oversight and quality assurance.
Support sales goals, marketing efforts, and business development strategies for the regional structures practice.
Collaborate with the Marketing Team on pursuits, proposals, and sector visibility.
Accurately maintain project and client data in Vantagepoint CRM.
Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to grow the company's structures presence in the region.
Represent Wilson & Company in professional organizations and at conferences and industry events.
Ensure consistent implementation of Quality Control Standards across projects.
Maintain regional visibility through site visits, client meetings, and team engagement.
Travel frequently as required for regional leadership and client engagement.
