About The Position

Brewistas execute the company’s mission to “Inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience.” They report to the stand manager and treat interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors as opportunities to build people up. The role includes making drinks, taking orders, connecting with customers, preparing premixed flavors and teas, cleaning, and stocking during each shift. Brewistas confirm and enter customer orders in the point-of-sale system, collect payments and provide correct change, and prepare drinks and premixes. They are expected to work with urgency, remain productive throughout the shift, know the menu and help customers choose drinks, follow shift-change duties and checklists, and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. The position involves working outside in varying weather, standing for extended periods, handling hot beverages and other supplies, and performing stocking and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water and coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outdoors for prolonged periods in varying weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean.
Able to safely walk between and around cars in the drive-thru line.
Able to safely use a utility knife.
Work a minimum of three shifts per week.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
Regularly work weekends and be available to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customer drink orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and correctly count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and stay productive and proactive throughout the shift.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Know the menu and drink offerings and help customers identify and order the drinks they want, offering recommendations when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and arrive clocked in and ready to work at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Learn and complete shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Follow organization standards and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Clean and stock during shifts.
