About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant / Cook prepares and presents the hotel’s complimentary breakfast while maintaining standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest service. The role combines food preparation, buffet setup and maintenance, guest interaction, kitchen sanitation, and closing responsibilities to provide guests with a smooth, enjoyable breakfast experience.

The successful candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, and attentive to food quality and hospitality. They prepare hot breakfast items, keep buffet and dining areas clean and well stocked, welcome and assist guests, and coordinate with hotel colleagues. Early-morning availability is required, with shifts typically beginning at 5:45 a.m. and ending by early afternoon. Availability is required Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday, as well as weekends and holidays based on business needs. A $250 hiring bonus is paid after successfully completing 90 days with no call-outs or tardiness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items according to recipes and Hyatt standards, including cooking hot items and maintaining quality, consistency, presentation, portion standards, and proper food temperatures.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines; label, store, rotate, and dispose of food products properly.
• Assist with inventory management and communicate replenishment needs.
• Set up the breakfast buffet and ensure food and beverage stations are stocked, clean, organized, and ready for guests.
• Monitor food levels during service and replenish items promptly.
• Maintain an attractive and welcoming breakfast area, then break down and clean buffet and service areas after breakfast.
• Prepare the breakfast area and supplies for the following day.
• Welcome guests professionally, answer questions about breakfast offerings and hotel amenities, and assist with special requests when possible.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and address concerns professionally, involving Management when appropriate.
• Clean kitchen equipment, preparation areas, dining areas, and other workspaces; wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and service equipment.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout breakfast service; ensure equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.
• Report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns to Management promptly.
• Work with Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Management to support a seamless guest experience; communicate guest requests, operational needs, and supply levels.
• Assist with additional Food & Beverage responsibilities and support hotel operations and special events when needed.
• Follow Hyatt brand standards and company policies.
