About The Position

Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is seeking an energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Breakfast Cook/Attendant to prepare and present the hotel’s complimentary breakfast while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest-service standards. The role combines food preparation, buffet setup and maintenance, guest interaction, kitchen sanitation, and closing responsibilities to provide guests with a welcoming breakfast experience. The position requires availability beginning at 5:45 a.m. on Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday. Shifts typically finish by early afternoon after breakfast breakdown and cleaning. Weekend and holiday availability is required based on business needs. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. A $250 hiring bonus is paid after 90 days of successful work with no call-outs or tardiness. No hotel or breakfast experience is required; training is available for candidates with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and an interest in hospitality.

Responsibilities

Prepare breakfast items according to recipes and Hyatt standards, including cooking hot items while maintaining quality and consistency.
Maintain proper food temperatures, presentation, and portion standards; follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
Label, store, rotate, and dispose of food products properly; assist with inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
Set up the breakfast buffet and ensure food and beverage stations are stocked, clean, organized, and ready for guests.
Monitor food levels during service and replenish items promptly; maintain an attractive breakfast area.
Break down and clean the buffet and service areas after breakfast, and prepare the breakfast area and supplies for the following day.
Welcome guests warmly and professionally, provide attentive service, answer questions about breakfast offerings and hotel amenities, and assist with special requests when possible.
Anticipate and respond to guest needs; address concerns professionally and involve Management when appropriate.
Clean kitchen equipment, preparation areas, dining areas, and other workspaces; wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and service equipment.
Remove trash, maintain cleanliness during service, and ensure equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.
Report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns to Management promptly.
Coordinate with Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Management; communicate guest requests, operational needs, and supply levels.
Assist with additional Food & Beverage responsibilities and support hotel operations and special events as needed.
Follow Hyatt brand standards and company policies.
