About The Position

The Breakfast Associate welcomes guests and monitors the dining area during breakfast to ensure supplies are adequate, guest needs are met, and the area supports the hotel’s hospitality image and objectives. The associate plans breakfast menus according to brand recommendations and facility needs, prepares the room and equipment, manages food and utensil inventory, and prepares hot and cold breakfast foods. The role follows food-handling sanitation procedures, responds promptly and appropriately to guest questions or concerns, and breaks down and cleans the breakfast area after service so it is ready for the next meal. The position is physically demanding and involves little to no travel outside the property and surrounding areas. The property is managed by OTO Development.

Requirements

Be neat, organized, and efficient.
Have strong organizational skills.
Have strong communication and customer service skills.
Obtain and maintain any applicable food-handling certificates.
Be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and monitor the dining area during meal time, ensuring adequate supplies and that guest needs are met.
Plan breakfast menus according to brand recommendations and facility needs.
Prepare the room setup and ensure equipment in the area is clean and in working condition.
Manage inventory of food and utensils.
Prepare daily menus of hot and cold breakfast foods.
Follow required sanitation procedures for food-handling safety.
Respond promptly and appropriately to guest questions or concerns.
Break down the breakfast area at the end of the meal period and leave the facility clean and ready for the next meal.
