About The Position

The Breakfast Associate supports the hotel’s hospitality standards by welcoming guests and monitoring the dining area during breakfast. The role plans and prepares breakfast offerings, sets up and maintains the breakfast area, manages food and utensil inventory, follows food-handling sanitation procedures, responds to guest questions and concerns, and cleans and resets the area after service. The position requires little to no travel outside the property and surrounding areas and involves physical activity, including standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Requirements

Obtain and maintain any food-handling certificates that may apply.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and monitor the dining area during meal times to ensure supplies are adequate, guest needs are met, and the area supports the hotel’s hospitality image and objectives.
Plan breakfast menus according to brand recommendations and facility needs.
Prepare the room setup and ensure equipment in the area is clean and in working condition.
Manage inventory of food and utensils.
Prepare daily menus of hot and cold breakfast foods.
Follow required sanitation procedures for food-handling safety.
Respond promptly and appropriately to guest questions or concerns.
Break down the breakfast area at the end of the meal period and leave the facility clean and ready for the next meal.
