About The Position

Isola is hiring a Breakdown Operator for its Chandler, Arizona facility. The role prepares assembled books for the lamination process and coordinates materials after laminated master sheets are broken down so they can move to the finishing area. The operator performs and cross-trains in several skill level A–C positions, primarily in the Press area, including Press, Breakdown, and Lay Up roles. The schedule is 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sunday through Tuesday, plus every other Saturday. Overtime, including extended shifts and weekend work, is required. The position is Skill Level C and pays $24.00 per hour plus a $2.00-per-hour shift differential.

Requirements

Prior machine operating experience is required.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment is required.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and a background report.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication is essential.
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends and support other shifts as needed.
Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and grasping.
Must be able to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with work instructions, work orders, and ERP systems is preferred.
Efficiency, ability to multitask among multiple priorities, teamwork in a fast-paced environment, and problem-solving ability are described as qualities suited to the role.

Responsibilities

Verify work orders and materials.
Prepare, program, and operate automated breakdown equipment according to customer requirements, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
Inspect material and ensure it is cut according to the customer’s request and work order.
Maintain complete and accurate material-usage and product-traceability records in the SAP inventory tracking system, and report material discrepancies.
Complete Production and Scrap Report documentation.
Perform and cross-train in several Skill Level A–C positions, primarily in the Press area, including Press, Breakdown, and Lay Up roles.
