About The Position

Isola is hiring a Lay-Up Operator to operate automated equipment that builds laminate master sheets for pressing. The operator verifies that the correct prepreg and copper materials are used according to the press plan, that the correct number of sheets is built for each order, and that the correct number of books is prepared for the press load. The position is based at the Chandler, Arizona location and is classified as Skill Level C.

The schedule is 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sunday through Tuesday, plus every other Saturday. Overtime, including extended shifts and weekend work, is required. Compensation is $24 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

• Prior machine operating experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Must meet internal eligibility requirements: successfully complete the 90-day new hire/newly transferred probationary period unless otherwise approved by the direct supervisor; be in good standing at the time of application; and meet ongoing workplace expectations, including satisfactory performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and grasping.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with work instructions, work orders, and ERP systems.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify the work order and ensure the selected material matches it.
• Set up, program, and operate automated equipment according to customer requirements directed by the work order.
• Accurately transact material in and out of the SAP inventory tracking system and report material discrepancies.
• Report anticipated issues, work stoppages, equipment downtime, and other workflow problems or interruptions to the operations leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
