About The Position

IPSY is looking for a strategic and hardworking Brand Partnerships Manager to join their Brand Partnerships Team. This role is vital for sourcing amazing products from beauty brands for IPSY member subscriptions. The Brand Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying new and exciting brands, and cultivating strong, long-lasting relationships with existing brands. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, passionate about beauty, possesses meticulous attention to detail, and brings a positive attitude. This position reports to the Director of Brand Partnerships and can be based in either the New York City or Santa Monica office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of account management, buyer, or merchandising experience specifically within the beauty industry.
  • Analytical and business-minded approach with a proven track record of meeting strict monthly goals and financial targets.
  • Expert ability to negotiate with vendors for best possible product costs alongside confidence pitching to external and internal clients.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and results-driven work style equipped to handle competing priorities and high-value accounts.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills optimized for external contacts, cross-functional team members, and executive leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree combined with an authentic, deep-rooted passion for the beauty space.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate leads, pitch IPSY’s value proposition, and participate in business planning.
  • Build and manage relationships with key brands by helping them achieve their objectives and develop a long-term business development strategy for consistent campaigns.
  • Identify new brands and trending products, including acquiring exclusive products and presenting internally for future campaign inclusion.
  • Work with the strategy team to identify targets for, pitch, and close on IPSY’s premium marketing and media services.
  • Negotiate best-in-market cost, contract terms, and product offering to support overall growth strategy.
  • Continuously educate brands on IPSY's new product offerings.
  • Act as the brand ambassador internally to help define the vision, goals, and positioning of the brand in their IPSY campaign.
  • Identify common callouts from brands during the curation process to assist in the development of future initiatives.
  • Participate in industry and company events along with marketing production, as needed.
  • Potential to manage one or more direct-reports and/or contractors.
  • Run point on one or more key strategic initiatives related to Brand Partnerships strategy.
