About The Position

The Brand Manager brings leadership, analytics and flawless execution to lead the team responsible for growing Bayer Consumer Health’s leading brands in the US OTC market. They are responsible for setting a vision for the business, developing and achieving the short and longer term brand objectives and strategy for the brand they manage. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree with three to five years of experience in a similar Brand Management role, ideally in a CPG/OTC environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Superior analytical ability, with an ability to assess financials (i.e. forecasting and business case development) and leverage data tools to generate insights (i.e. Numerator, Circana)
  • Builds effective teams, cultivates innovation, learning and change agility, customer focus, action oriented/drives results, collaborates globally and locally, plans and aligns, drives, stakeholder engagement, effectively manages suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and lead stakeholders and peers
  • Passionate ownership of overall business performance, with experience owning and delivering budgets and results.
  • Strategic management, planning, and execution abilities, including ability to focus on the "bigger picture"

Responsibilities

  • Establish and direct the development and implementation of the brand's marketing plans using Bayer’s brand building model called Trusted Brands For Life. These plans enable choices to protect brand equity and enhance brand health.
  • Build short- and long-range financial plans to achieve market share and profitability growth.
  • Drive investment choices via managing and allocating marketing spends, while steering investment plans that accelerate performance.
  • Assess growth opportunities that enable profit and revenue impacts, while making contingency plans to manage through risks.
  • Partner with Innovation teams to develop and execute three to five years innovation plans to support overall brand objectives, including preparing launch strategy and governance.
  • Lead multiple external agency partners to produce consumer communication strategies and executions that are in line with the brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with in-house media and ecommerce teams to build media plans and then develop fit-for-channel assets which are in line with brand equity.
  • Work within a highly collaborative culture to lead multiple cross functional teams, including but not limited to Media, Digital, Trade Marketing, Category Insights and Analytics, Legal, Medical, Regulatory, Market Research, Sales, Product Supply, Quality Assurance, etc.
  • Collaborate with leaders in insights and analytics to generate consumer and customer insights that inform go to market strategies.
