About The Position
Lava Island is hiring a Brand Ambassador to introduce families to its indoor play parks and build community awareness. The role is primarily out in the community, engaging families and local organizations through free first-visit experiences, event participation, and relationship-building. The Brand Ambassador follows direction and a tested playbook from a Lead, while focusing on in-person outreach rather than scheduling and email. The position offers a flexible, part-time schedule built around community events and supports Lava Island as it opens new parks.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing role such as hospitality, events, retail, sales, or community outreach.
- Comfort approaching people and representing a brand in public.
- Availability for evenings and weekends.
- Live in or near Manchester, Connecticut.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, work outdoor events, and carry event supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to pass a background check.

- Connections in local mom groups, homeschool groups, schools, churches, or businesses.
- Experience with a family-focused brand or event promotions.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Visit local businesses and places where families spend time.
- Connect with mom groups, homeschool networks, schools, and churches.
- Offer targeted free first experiences at Lava Island.
- Represent Lava Island at farmers markets, fairs, and street events.
- Support local nonprofits through mutually beneficial community activities.
- Host in-park events that make family time easier and more fun.
- Welcome families and partners brought in through outreach.
- Follow up with community partners to maintain lasting relationships.
- Work closely with the park GM and keep them informed.
- Track outreach activity and share what is and is not working.
