About The Position

Rexel USA is seeking a Branch Support Specialist for its Rexel team in Statesville, North Carolina. The role supports Branch and Area Managers in maintaining branch operations and achieving growth goals across an assigned territory. The specialist may perform duties across inside sales, driving, warehouse operations, and assistant management, and may make decisions in the absence of Branch and Area management. The position focuses on branch profitability, customer service, sales and order processing, account reconciliation, facility and inventory control, and safety and security. It may include customer deliveries by established routes or for urgent needs. The job description notes that responsibilities may be reassigned and that employees must perform essential duties competently, with or without reasonable accommodation, and demonstrate integrity, effective customer service, and teamwork.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in electrical distribution or a similar B2B industry.
High school diploma or GED.
Sales- and service-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, and possessing leadership and customer-service skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to share information.
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office and an ERP system such as Solar Eclipse.
If required to make deliveries: valid driver's license; at least 21 years of age; pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record reviews; obtain verification of a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire; no driver's-license suspension related to a traffic accident or violation within the past 3 years; and no at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

Work with Branch Managers to drive profitability using company digital tools to improve branch performance.
Model superior customer service when addressing daily requests and establish and maintain relationships with key customers.
Perform branch functions as needed, including sales, vendor quotations, maintenance of branch equipment and vehicles, driving, material handling, and order processing.
Greet and assist call-in and walk-in customers with product and service selection and delivery; process orders by quoting prices, delivery specifications, and payment terms, and offer substitute products where appropriate.
Support timely account reconciliation by completing PVR, bad debt, and other post-sale duties.
Participate in facility and inventory control and maintenance, and advise the Branch Manager of problems that could affect customer demand.
Conduct or oversee inventory-control procedures and warehouse housekeeping practices.
Implement branch security and safety standards through facility and asset inspections and corrective actions.
Complete customer deliveries through maintained routes or for urgent requirements when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
