About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will help walk-in customers find solutions by providing guidance, product knowledge, and service. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also includes shifting between customer assistance and warehouse tasks throughout the day. This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The position reports to the Branch Manager and is located at 5706 E Broadway Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99212.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work any time within the branch's hours of operation.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
• Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences in email, over the phone, and in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the branch's appearance to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
