About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers by using guidance, product knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also involves shifting between customer assistance and a variety of warehouse tasks. You will report to the Branch Manager.

This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The position is based at 5706 E Broadway Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99212.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work at any time within branch operating hours.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
• Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
• Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the branch's appearance to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
