About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers through guidance, product knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also involves shifting from customer assistance to a variety of warehouse tasks throughout the day. This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Everett branch.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work any time within the branch’s hours of operation.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
• Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customers’ vehicles.
• Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication to different audiences by email, phone, and in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the branch’s appearance to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
