About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role combines customer service and sales with warehouse tasks throughout the day. You will report to the Branch Manager. The targeted start date is January 3, 2027.

Requirements

• Be flexible to work at any time within the branch’s hours of operation.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier loads with assistance.
• Learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customers’ vehicles.
• Identify ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication to different audiences by email, phone, and in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain the branch’s appearance to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
