About The Position

The Branch Ops Manager leads and manages all branch operations and resources, with responsibility for achieving maximum profits consistent with the company’s business model. This management-level role oversees branch sales, administration, operating expenditures, and warehouse/shop activities. The manager works across company organizations to support an efficient business, maintain customer relationships, and foster a positive workplace culture. The position is safety sensitive and requires local travel of less than 15%.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
3–5 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
Experience in sales and account management within the region, especially with General Contractors and an industrial customer base.
Solid understanding of P&L management to achieve business plans and financial targets.
Highly developed verbal, written, and auditory communication skills.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent job experience.

Responsibilities

Use processes, performance reports, data analysis, planning, budgeting cycles, financial controls, and other management tools to determine resources and conduct long-range planning.
Partner with multiple organizations across the company to facilitate an efficient business.
Manage the branch Profit and Loss statement and overall operations.
Maintain a hands-on leadership relationship within the branch.
Achieve financial and non-financial company goals and objectives.
Assist in formulating and implementing the branch’s marketing and sales strategy.
Design, implement, and monitor key performance metrics.
Develop annual branch budgets in accordance with overall company strategy.
Communicate and implement company operational procedures to maximize operational and administrative efficiency.
Participate in planning efforts directed toward long-term goals.
Establish short-term branch objectives and coordinate branch personnel efforts.
Provide sales management to branch sales personnel and work to bolster sales team performance.
Coordinate with other branches and departments to facilitate effective handling of customer orders.
Secure involvement of other company personnel to assist in sales.
Build and maintain customer relationships, including personally entertaining and liaising with customers or assigning those responsibilities to others as needed.
Pursue continuous improvement of branch activities using lean tools and action plans as needed.
Maintain a positive workplace culture for associates.
Review employee performance using the established performance management system and help identify and provide training, mentoring, and growth opportunities.
Ensure safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
Review associate vacation requests and approve shift schedules.
Review and approve subordinate expense reports.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager to interview and select candidates for vacancies.
Manage all employees, including exempt, non-exempt, and nonunion employees.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
