About The Position

The Branch Manager in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC Division leads a major business enterprise and is responsible for building a profitable branch. The role hires and motivates employees across sales, service, maintenance, and driving roles, and ensures customers receive enthusiastic and informed service. The company provides tools, technology, and support for the position. The role is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of successful business management experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other individual profit center.
• Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation.
• Strong sales and customer service experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
• Effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Outside sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability.
• Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives.
• Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets, and other reports detailing operational status.
• Manage personnel matters.
• Oversee safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, and drug and alcohol testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
