About The Position

The Branch Manager exercises complete responsibility for developing and managing a business operation that maintains Coburn’s Exceptional reputation for customer service and employee satisfaction. This position directs, coordinates, and monitors all sales, operations, and personnel development activities in order to ensure increased profitability and market share.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required AND: a minimum of 2 years of experience as a branch manager in a related industry, OR a minimum of 5 years of progressive internal experience in various positions within the branch.
• Must possess basic computer skills; intermediate skills preferred.
• Must possess product knowledge, leadership and delegation skills and experience.
• Must pass company required drug screen and physical and background screening.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel to Coburn’s customer and company branch locations.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
• Must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead.
• Occasionally works with small tools and equipment.
• Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention.
• A consistent presence at work is required.
• Must be a minimum age of 21 years old.
• In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.
• The Manager must successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Evaluator Certification.
• Texas – personal driver’s license with medical card.
• Mississippi & Tennessee – Class D license with medical card.
• Louisiana – Chauffer’s license (Class D) with medical card.
• A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for drivers who operate vehicles that cross the state line (interstate) in a company-owned vehicle, or who operate vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more.
• CDL drivers must be a minimum age of 25 years old.
• If the vehicle weighs over 26,000 lbs a class A CDL is required.

Nice To Haves

• Intermediate computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage employee performance to ensure Coburn’s exceptional level of customer service is maintained while maximizing gross profit per Full Time Equivalent (FTE).
• Monitor the stocking levels and proper handling of inventory in order to maintain profitability and provide Coburn’s exceptional level of customer service, with no injuries, near misses or damaged product.
• The operations of the branch are managed to achieve the profitability goals and objectives of the branch and company.
• Sales & operations are properly developed and managed resulting in increased sales & market share.
• Ensure Coburn’s exceptional level of customer service is maintained as measured through increased sales and profits, customer retention, customer feedback and/or satisfaction ratings.
• Knowledge is developed and maintained in order to increase credibility with employees and customers, as measured through increased sales, employee retention and customer loyalty.
