About The Position

The Branch Manager leads a team and is responsible for running a profitable branch operation, maintaining compliance, and providing leadership. The role includes achieving annual growth goals, exercising lending authority, reducing branch losses, and implementing company policies and procedures. The manager also supports customers with lending solutions and helps ensure consistent, high-quality service.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position at the assigned branch location. Hours are Monday through Friday, with seasonal Saturday hours or Saturdays as business needs require. Work hours depend on the business hours of the time zone served, and the company may change the schedule to address business needs. The employee must be physically present in the office and may perform additional branch duties depending on market demand and staffing.

Requirements

• At least three years of related experience in consumer lending and/or financial services.
• Two years of successful supervisory experience, or recent successful completion within the past three years of a lending training program or closely aligned course of study; additional applicable experience may substitute for supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, or Economics, or military rank of E-4, W1, O1, or above; additional applicable experience may substitute for the degree.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar programs, and ability to learn financial services programs.
• Ability to complete essential duties and functions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, project leadership, and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
• Must obtain applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
• Must perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location, except in an emergency as determined by the company in consultation with applicable regulatory agencies as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve loan applications within lending authority, using product knowledge to offer solutions that meet customer needs.
• Manage existing accounts, including lending and collections, to achieve branch sales and delinquency goals.
• Coach branch staff with actionable feedback to achieve goals, minimize turnover, and foster a positive branch environment.
• Prepare and submit reports on branch activity and growth as needed.
• Develop business through networking with local establishments and building community relations.
• Implement internal branch auditing procedures and properly control negotiable items and company records.
• Approve policy exceptions as authorized by management, considering the nature of the exception and customer-retention needs.
• Resolve customer obstacles related to products, services, and policies using problem-solving skills.
• Monitor and approve monthly expenses in accordance with the annual business plan and company policies.
• Investigate and work to resolve customer and employee inquiries and complaints promptly.
• Attract and interview candidates, and recommend candidates to management for branch vacancies.
• Participate in company meetings and professional development activities to keep current with industry trends and changes.
• Perform other duties as needed to provide consistent customer service, including collecting payments, processing loan applications, contacting customers about late payments, cashiering, answering phones, photocopying, and filing.
