About The Position

Master Pumps & Power, a SunSource company, is seeking a Branch Sales Manager to support field sales, customers, and internal departments. This role involves providing expertise in product and application knowledge, pump sizing and selection, proposal generation, and order processing/management. Key activities include reviewing customer specifications, selecting appropriate pumps, preparing proposals, offering technical support, and collaborating with customer service and operations to ensure smooth sales order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Proven successful experience as a store manager.
  • Experience in Industrial Sales/Rotating Equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Outstanding customer service and management skills.
  • Must be SALES driven.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BS degree in Business Administration or Industrial Distribution.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or co-workers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to utilize pump sizing software.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Working knowledge of positive displacement and centrifugal pumps.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues over the phone.
  • Proficiency in using word processing software, spreadsheets, and other custom applications software in an MS Windows environment.
  • Experience with CRM software and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies to increase customer base, expand store traffic, and optimize profitability.
  • Achieve sales goals through effective training, motivation, mentoring, and feedback to sales staff.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Quote prices and process customer orders.
  • Manage store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the shop service department for customer repairs, fabrication, and pump unit builds.
  • Report on buying trends, customer needs, and profits.
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
  • Conduct performance appraisals to identify training needs and develop career paths for staff.
  • Address and resolve issues arising from staff or customers, including complaints and grievances.
  • Serve as a role model for exemplary behavior and high performance.
