About The Position

The Branch Manager is accountable for ensuring the day-to-day activities of the branch are effectively and consistently carried out per company policy each day in a manner that results in all required objectives consistently being achieved. The manager maintains communication between the staff and upper management. Provides support, training, and guidance to the staff. The Branch Manager is responsible to ensure that minimum required monthly and annual branch profit standards, expectations and objectives are consistently achieved each month and year. The Branch Manager is responsible to ensure that minimum required operational standards are achieved by the 10th, 20th, and month end consistently achieved each month and year. The Branch Manager is responsible to ensure that minimum required tax preparation objectives are consistently achieved each tax season.

Requirements

  • Top Performers with Present or Previous GILA Branch Management experience or Lengthy GILA Assistant Management or Customer Service Experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the day-to-day activities of the branch are effectively and consistently carried out per company policy.
  • Maintaining communication between the staff and upper management.
  • Providing support, training, and guidance to the staff.
  • Ensuring minimum required monthly and annual branch profit standards, expectations and objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Ensuring minimum required operational standards are achieved by the 10th, 20th, and month end consistently.
  • Ensuring minimum required tax preparation objectives are consistently achieved each tax season.
  • Making sure that all daily duties of the branch and staff are completed every day.
  • Maintaining efficiency by training employees continuously on company policy and procedures.
  • Ensuring all Federal, State, and Local laws are in compliance and that best ethical practices are followed.
  • Providing leadership necessary to motivate employees and creates and maintains a high degree of branch production by meeting and exceeding company standards involving loans, collections, and expense control.
  • Maintaining consistent growth in accounts and receivables through retention of customers and effective advertisement.
  • Preparing special reports as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining a successful and profitable branch by controlling assets, proper credit extension, collection routine, thorough follow-up, and handling of past-due customers.
  • Ensuring that all personnel are at work on time and managing their time throughout the day by effectively coaching staff.
  • Ensuring that all reports and records are prepared by the branch and assuring that the required reports reach the home office and district supervisor complete, accurate, and ON TIME.
  • Acknowledging receipt of all correspondence from the home office requiring an answer the day that it is received.
  • Training all employees on how to properly perform all functions of a loan office, to include: take and process an application, how to properly work the counter and take payments, how to properly enforce the contract with customers, how to properly make collection calls, and how to properly close a loan.
  • Approving and closing all New, FB, and Dual loans.
  • Approving and closing all increases on loans of established accounts.
  • Handling, approving, and closing all delinquent loans (30 days or more past due).
  • Making sure that all delinquent work is completed each day by 2:00 pm and that all of the customers' records are filed in the proper fireproof cabinets at closing time.
  • Making certain that the office is kept neat and orderly at all times.
  • Recommending and handling all legal procedures taken against customers.
  • Distributing Life, Accident and Health, Auto, and Fire Insurance claims to customers.
  • Receiving all claims from customers and filing weekly with the insurance carrier.
  • Maintaining proper insurance claims records and reports on insurance claims register located in branch stat book.
  • Directing all calls from attorneys, newspapers, reporters, etc. to the home office.
  • Verifying cash monthly by balancing cash drawers and maintaining cash count records.
  • Exercising ownership in judgment when making decisions affecting the branch and its personnel, control of assets, and credit decisions.
  • Approving all supply requisitions.
  • Properly handling all customer inquiries and disputes.
  • Protecting all customer information making certain all customer information is properly accounted for at all times and is stored securely each day before closing the office.
