This key role involves leading a mutli-disciplinary team of 250+ professionals with a direct focus on ensuring every City employee is equipped to deliver quality services to the organization and Edmontonians. Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, Corporate Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources functions. Your influence spans: Labour Relations and Workplace Policy: Labour relations, collective bargaining, and oversight of workplace policy and workplace investigations. Organizational Effectiveness: Organizational design, HR business consulting, employee engagement, and learning and development. Recruitment and Position Evaluation: Recruitment, job evaluation, and position management. Respectful Workplace and Employee Wellness: Equity and inclusion, psychological health and safety, and non-occupational disability management. HR Administration and Total Compensation: Timely and accurate administration of payroll, pensions, and benefits, integrated with total compensation strategy. Workforce Analytics and Systems: Strategic direction for workforce analytics and HR systems.
