About The Position

The Branch Banking Client Consultant I delivers front-line client service and transactional support by welcoming clients, identifying their needs, and performing teller functions and financial transactions accurately, efficiently, and in a friendly manner. The role supports clients’ financial goals and branch success by maintaining operational accuracy and risk standards, supporting sales performance through introductions and client education, and collaborating with branch teammates. The position creates a positive, trusted branch experience by helping clients feel supported, informed, and connected to appropriate financial solutions while handling everyday banking needs. It also supports branch growth and service goals through teller transaction execution, client engagement, timely problem resolution, and adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, including GED, HiSET, TASC, or foreign equivalent.
1–2 years of customer service, cash handling, or retail experience.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and proactive collaboration abilities.
Ability to identify client needs and provide tailored solutions.
Action-oriented approach, business acumen, approachability, problem-solving, and priority-management skills.

Responsibilities

Support team efforts to achieve financial performance and primary client acquisition growth targets through teller-related functions.
Identify and deliver appropriate client introductions to team members to support growth targets and sales initiatives.
Assist with account questions, problems, and complaints; research and communicate resolutions in a timely and effective manner.
Provide client engagement and education, and meet behavioral activity goals established by Retail Leadership, including introductions.
Complete daily financial transactions accurately and promptly while striving to prevent controllable losses.
Understand and adhere to applicable bank policies and regulations.
Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards, complete required compliance training, and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, proactive collaboration, and cross-functional insights.
Identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions to build trusted client relationships and improve the client experience.
Foster or support a positive work culture and productive work environment.
