About The Position

Carvana is hiring a Brake and Tire Technician to work in its vehicle Inspection Center in Tracy, California. The role performs light automotive maintenance and repairs, including brake and tire work, routine inspections, and related technician services. The center uses state-of-the-art tools, and Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees to help their skills and pay progress. The position requires at least one year of professional automotive repair experience. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
• Perform basic brake repairs, including work on brake pads, calipers, and rotors.
• Install tires and perform wheel alignments.
• Perform light maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
