About The Position

This position involves selling theater tickets over the phone or in person at the box office window. Responsibilities include receiving payments, issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change, and managing the bank at the beginning and end of the shift. The role requires securing the bank, balancing daily work, and processing mail-in and phoned-in ticket orders. Additionally, the attendant will answer customer questions, provide information on theater policies and ticket prices, and alert personnel when supplies are low. The position also involves inventorying supplies, serving as a bank balance witness, and adhering to all company safety and security policies. A key aspect of the role is providing excellent customer service, including welcoming guests, anticipating needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and maintaining professional communication. The job requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, and to develop positive working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Sell theater tickets over the phone or in person at the box office window.
  • Receive payments for tickets.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change.
  • Pick up and drop off bank at beginning and end of shift.
  • Secure bank in safe deposit box.
  • Balance daily work, drop receipts and daily deposits.
  • Answer customers' questions, and provide information on theater policies and procedures, ticket prices, and specials.
  • Establish or identify ticket prices and tabulate bills.
  • Enter mail-in and phoned in ticket orders into computer.
  • Alert appropriate box office personnel when box office supplies are low.
  • Inventory supplies needed for box office transactions.
  • Serve as bank balance witness for other box office attendants.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
