About The Position

The Box Event Setup role supports event operations at the Box Elder Events Center in Box Elder, South Dakota. Duties include preparing and clearing tables, transporting used dishware to the kitchen, responding professionally to guest requests, and helping set up and break down function spaces. Requirements

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be able to work standing for up to 8 hours.
• Be able to carry trays weighing 25 pounds or more.
• Be able to work under time-pressure constraints while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-shift side work, including setup and preparing condiments.
• Clear tables after service.
• Take trays of dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Notify a supervisor about guest complaints or unusual situations.
• Properly store reusable goods.
• Set up and break down function spaces, and possibly assist with service.
• Arrive on time and in uniform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
