About The Position

Apex Entertainment is seeking a Bowling Technician at its Virginia Beach location to maintain and service bowling lanes and equipment. This hands-on role helps ensure safe, seamless bowling experiences for guests. The technician maintains and repairs bowling equipment, performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, manages parts and repair work, assists with maintenance planning and budgets, keeps records, and trains hourly pin chaser staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of experience maintaining and repairing bowling and pinsetter equipment.
At least 18 years old.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lubrication equipment, and testing equipment.
Safety-conscious, with the ability to work independently.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
Comfort with sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Brunswick equipment is preferred.
Completion of a Brunswick training program is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Brunswick GSX pinsetters, Custodian lane machines, scoring systems, ball returns, bowling balls, and related components.
Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on bowling equipment.
Clean, adjust, and troubleshoot automated scoring systems.
Identify and order replacement parts and supplies.
Perform major overhauls and rebuilds as needed.
Assist in planning and managing service and maintenance budgets.
Contribute to long-term repair and improvement plans for bowling equipment.
Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance.
Train and supervise hourly pin chaser staff on basic equipment care and safety.
