About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter supports the customer shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations to fulfill orders. The role involves filling BOSS orders; sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores; and handling merchandise in a way that maintains its quality and appearance. The position may perform a range of back-room functions, with the ability to move among work areas as needed. During store open hours, the outfitter may also help customers on the sales floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing and properly close orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise; fill orders; and sort and pack merchandise using suitable packaging for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it in proper containers or cartons; apply designated labels and visually inspect product quality and presentation.
• Inspect merchandise against retail or direct customer orders, pull items from designated stock locations, and place them in proper containers.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations with authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work procedures.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions while working on the sales floor during store open hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
