About The Position
HeartWell Services LLC is looking for a dependable and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in Albuquerque. We are a DDSD Waiver provider, so experience with DDSD/DD Waiver, Medicaid, or a similar healthcare or service-based organization is preferred. The right person will be comfortable handling day-to-day bookkeeping, keeping records organized, and working with QuickBooks.
Requirements
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- QuickBooks experience required
- Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Nice To Haves
- DDSD/DD Waiver experience
- Medicaid or healthcare experience
- Experience working with a disability services provider
- Experience with payroll or employee-related accounting
- Experience preparing financial records for audits
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
- Enter and categorize income and expenses
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Track invoices, payments, and receipts
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with payroll-related bookkeeping as needed
- Prepare basic financial reports for management
- Keep financial records organized and ready for audits
- Track and maintain documentation related to DDSD/Medicaid funding
- Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping and other accounting tasks as needed
