1st Shift Boiler and Refrigeration Operator 1
About The Position
The Boiler and Refrigeration Operator 1 operates the IQF tunnel systems and assists with repairs, upkeep, and maintenance of the Boiler/Refrigeration systems. The position supports production readiness, follows food safety and GMP policies, and helps maintain tools and equipment. This is a full-time, permanent, hourly position. Benefits enrollment is available after 60 days, and vacation time is available after 90 days. The schedule is 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Monday–Friday, with Saturdays possible from January through April; from May through December, the schedule is 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Saturday. The employee may also assist other departments and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Exemplary attendance is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
- One to two years of Boiler and Refrigeration experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders.
- Adhere to food safety policies and GMP practices.
- Ensure Boiler/Refrigeration tunnel systems are ready for production needs.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working order and return them to their proper locations.
- Use and wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Assist with maintenance of the tunnel systems.
- Assist with regular preventative maintenance on Boiler/Refrigeration systems.
- Complete company-required safety training, including GMP practices, Lockout/Tagout, and proper lifting.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
