About The Position

FuntoNetwork is seeking a Boiler and Mechanical Systems Engineer for upcoming project opportunity: 179-2627-740-BOIL_REP_NMS_SHS. This role involves executing the Boiler and Mechanical Systems Engineer scope for the specified project, which includes assessing boiler and plant conditions, defining replacement or repair requirements, and coordinating various technical aspects. The engineer will be responsible for producing necessary documentation, resolving interdisciplinary reviews, supporting testing and commissioning, and maintaining detailed records.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience performing Boiler and Mechanical Systems Engineer responsibilities in public-sector, regulated, enterprise, or comparable environments.
Ability to produce complete, reviewable work products tied to requirements and acceptance criteria.
Strong documentation, stakeholder coordination, risk awareness, confidentiality, and deadline discipline.
Relevant licenses, certifications, clearances, insurance, or local delivery capacity when required by the solicitation.

Responsibilities

Assess boiler and plant conditions, define replacement or repair requirements, coordinate MEP interfaces, codes, controls, and technical submittals.
Confirm existing conditions, stakeholder needs, governing criteria, interfaces, constraints, and acceptance requirements for the work package.
Produce the calculations, architecture or design basis, drawings, specifications, schedules, estimates, and technical decision records required for review.
Resolve interdisciplinary reviews, constructability or implementation comments, RFIs, substitutions, and approved design changes.
Support implementation testing and commissioning; reconcile final comments and deliver approved record documents and technical handoff materials.
Trace assigned work to the RFP scope, requirement or RTM row, deliverable, dependency, acceptance criterion, schedule milestone, and supporting evidence.
Review official solicitation materials and addenda affecting this workstream; document assumptions, open items, exclusions, risks, and required client decisions.
Prepare role-specific technical inputs, work products, estimates, implementation details, quality records, and proposal or post-award delivery evidence.
Coordinate interfaces and handoffs with project management, business analysis, technical, field, quality, compliance, training, and operations workstreams.
Maintain status, issue, decision, change, and evidence records and escalate blockers before they affect submission or delivery readiness.
