About The Position

The Boiler and Machinery Inspection Specialist performs in-service inspections of boilers and pressure vessels to ensure compliance with applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements. The role also conducts boiler and machinery risk evaluations, claims investigations, and other related assessments. The specialist documents inspections and assessments in accordance with company and client standards and ensures compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, National Board requirements, and jurisdictional requirements. The position is based in Hartford, Connecticut, and requires maintaining a territory, interacting with customers, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in the boiler and pressure vessel industry, such as in design, fabrication, operation, repair and alteration, inspection, nondestructive examination, or quality control systems.
National Board In-Service Commission is required.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training in boiler and pressure vessel inspections.
Ability to maintain a territory.
Ability to interact with customers and provide excellent customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
