BOH - Cafe
About The Position
The BOH - Cafe role supports cafe operations by maintaining clean and sanitary dishes, floors, and bathrooms; keeping dining-room bus bins moving; receiving and storing deliveries; and disposing of garbage and broken-down boxes. The role also supports operational procedures, including completing opening and closing checklists, conducting regular dining-room checks, preparing trays, accurately receiving and labeling orders, and setting up the next shift for success. Employees are expected to uphold company standards and policies, promote safe working conditions, and help the unit meet or exceed health and sanitation standards. Additional growth opportunities in other departments are available to dedicated employees who demonstrate a desire to learn.
Requirements
- One year of dishwashing experience.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a demonstrated positive demeanor as a team player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and accurately meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish fluency preferred.
Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize dishes using the hand sink and machine wash; dry and put dishes away.
- Wash floors and check and clean bathrooms.
- Keep work flowing by clearing dining-room bus bins.
- Receive and put away delivery orders.
- Dispose of garbage and break down boxes.
- Complete opening and closing checklists.
- Complete operational checks, such as checking the dining room every 15 minutes.
- Tray chips correctly.
- Receive orders and place, label, and date them accurately.
- Set up the next shift for success.
- Ensure unit safety and sanitation goals and policies are met.
- Maintain a grade of “A” or better by exceeding health and sanitation inspection standards.
- Uphold company standards and policies for opening and closing.
- Ensure safe working conditions and comply with applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
