About The Position
Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet is currently seeking a talented Body Shop Estimator to join our team in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to adapt to new technology and possess a solid foundation in delivering exceptional customer service. This role entails creating estimates, ensuring timely repair schedules, and developing comprehensive repair plans for vehicles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Teammate with collaborative mindset
- Math, reading, and software skills
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Develop repair plans for each vehicle in accordance with company and insurance partner guidelines.
- Prepare accurate repair estimates, ensuring alignment with established procedures.
- Maintain and manage an efficient repair schedule, ensuring timeliness before, during, and after repairs.
- Communicate any supplements or adjustments to customers and insurance companies promptly (on the same business day as written).
- Ensure customers’ vehicles are kept clean and tidy, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management on new industry procedures and equipment.
