The Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation is responsible for policy making and programmatic activities related to licensure of health care practitioners and regulated facilities. The Bureau is comprised of a bureau chief and eight offices under the supervision of executive directors. As the Executive Director for the Board, the incumbent is expected to have strong leadership and organizational skills that will enhance the efficiency of the licensure processes; foster beneficial relationships with stakeholders and proudly represent the Department of Health when communicating with the public and the health care community. This position requires exceptional strategic thinking and independent decision-making skills. The Board Executive Director is supervised by the Chief of General Operations (Bureau Chief of Health Care Practitioner Regulation) and serves as Administrative Officer for the Boards of Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Osteopathic Medicine, Speech Language Pathology & Audiology, and the Council of Licensed Midwifery.
