About The Position

The Executive Assistant to the CEO & Board Liaison serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and a critical link between executive leadership and the Board of Directors. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the executive office, the effective administration of Board governance activities, and the coordination of internal culture and engagement initiatives. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, discretion, and judgment, the Executive Assistant acts as a trusted advisor, managing complex priorities, facilitating communication at the highest levels of the organization, and ensuring the CEO and Board are fully prepared and aligned.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience supporting a CEO or senior executive (required)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience supporting a Board of Directors or governance processes (strongly preferred)
  • Experience planning events or managing employee engagement initiatives preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar & priorities as needed
  • Prepare executive briefing materials, presentations, and talking points
  • Draft and manage internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO
  • Coordinate travel, speaking engagements, and executive-level meetings
  • Track key initiatives, action items, and follow-ups to ensure execution
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the CEO and the Board of Directors
  • Lead end-to-end coordination of Board and Committee meetings, including: Agenda development and alignment with leadership, Preparation, assembly, and distribution of Board materials (“board books”), Scheduling, logistics, and meeting execution, Recording and maintaining official minutes and action items
  • Manage Board communications, ensuring timely, professional, and accurate information flow
  • Maintain Board governance documentation (rosters, terms, policies, resolutions, and records)
  • Partner with executive leadership to prepare Board presentations and reports
  • Ensure follow-up and tracking of Board decisions and action items
  • Support onboarding and ongoing engagement of Board members
  • Support Executive Leadership Team (ELT) operations, including meeting planning and follow-up
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and coordination on strategic initiatives
  • Serve as a central point of contact for executive office operations
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, retreats, and offsite sessions
  • Lead and coordinate employee engagement initiatives and company culture programming
  • Manage internal “fun committee” or employee engagement group
  • Plan and execute company-wide events (recognition programs, celebrations, all-staff events)
  • Partner with HR to align engagement efforts with organizational culture strategy
  • Collect feedback and continuously improve engagement initiatives
