About The Position

Miller's Health Systems is offering a free training program for individuals interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This program includes classroom instruction and clinical practicum, preparing students to pass the state exam. Upon successful completion and hiring, Miller's will cover the cost of the state exam. Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% or higher.
• Must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide.
• Must complete 75 hours of supervised practicum.
• Must perform all required skills successfully during practicum.
• Must have all skills checklists signed off.
• Must complete daily "clinical sign-in record".
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical examination.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Unsatisfactory performance or attendance may result in dismissal.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for assistance with organization and time management during practicum.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom training.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (up to 3 attempts per test).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Successfully perform all required skills during the practicum.
• Demonstrate and have signed off on all required skills checklists by the clinical instructor or other licensed nursing professional.
• Complete and submit a daily "clinical sign-in record" with required information.
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical examination prior to starting the course.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements.
