Experienced BMW Technician
About The Position
BMW of Bloomfield is hiring experienced automotive technicians with any level of BMW experience. The role involves inspecting vehicles and performing repairs and maintenance, with compensation of $23 to $40+ per flat-rate hour based on experience, plus performance and productivity bonuses. This is a full-time position requiring Saturday availability. Department hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Technicians work with Service Advisors to complete work accurately according to dealership and safety standards, verify service quality through road tests as needed, document work and recommendations, and maintain an organized work area and equipment. Candidates should have active ASE and manufacturer certifications, advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities, and experience with engine and transmission repair or replacement, electrical systems, and drivability diagnostics. Requirements
- BMW experience; technicians at all experience levels are considered.
- Up-to-date, active ASE and manufacturer certifications.
- Advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities across multiple systems.
- Proficiency in engine and transmission repair or replacement, electrical diagnostics, and drivability diagnostics.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to identify needed work and perform intermediate repairs and maintenance, including brake, suspension, and steering repairs.
- Complete work accurately according to dealership and safety standards in collaboration with Service Advisors.
- Road-test vehicles as needed to confirm service quality.
- Document completed services and recommendations clearly.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
- Support the service team with additional maintenance tasks as needed.
