About The Position

The Blow Mold Production Technician monitors automated production equipment, maintains supplies of production materials, inspects parts, operates a forklift, and performs other production tasks, with a major emphasis on quality and safety. This is a third-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with some weekends and occasional holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Thorough understanding of production equipment or ability to learn it quickly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of and ability to comply with applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Interest in continuous improvement and ability to thrive in a self-directed environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; three years of relevant experience with one employer may be substituted.
• Ability to work for prolonged periods on one's feet.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect produced parts.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery according to specifications.
• Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment, and perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Understand equipment processing, perform quality checks, and report defects to shift leadership and Quality Assurance.
• Perform bottle testing procedures and enter data into the SPC collection center.
• Make processing adjustments to machines as needed.
• Maintain logs and production records, including errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
