About The Position

Sandpiper Hospitality is hiring a Bistro Server to provide friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely food and beverage service. The role is responsible for the guest dining experience from taking orders through securing payment, while helping maintain a welcoming atmosphere, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Regular attendance is essential, and the server must be prepared to work varying schedules to reflect hotel business needs and comply with Sandpiper Hospitality and Courtyard Reno rules and regulations.

This is an active role involving frequent walking and standing, with the ability to maintain well-paced mobility for up to four hours and maneuver in limited space. Work is generally indoors in moderate, controlled temperatures, but may also involve periods in extreme temperatures, including freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F.

Requirements

• Food Handling Certification is required.
• A valid Nevada Alcohol Card is required.
• Commitment to enthusiastic service, operational accuracy, and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to walk frequently and stand and maintain well-paced mobility for up to four hours.
• Ability to maneuver between simultaneous functions in limited space.
• Ability to work indoors in moderate, controlled temperatures and for periods in extreme temperatures, including freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F.
• Availability to work varying schedules based on hotel business needs.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for and serve food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques.
• Clear tables during service to support quick table turnover.
• Provide direct guest service as needed, including bussing tables and seating guests.
• Complete station and table setups and perform side duties assigned by the Outlet Supervisor.
• Maintain the condition and cleanliness of dining areas and service equipment.
• Control guest checks and secure proper payment.
• Perform general clerical and cashier duties.
• Maintain regular attendance and work varying schedules according to hotel business needs.
• Comply with Sandpiper Hospitality and Courtyard Reno rules and regulations.
