About The Position

Serve food and/or beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. The role includes preparing and maintaining the service area, taking and processing orders and payments, communicating dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen, and assisting with food and beverage preparation as needed. The server also handles end-of-shift cashiering and bank security, maintains clean equipment and work areas, follows alcohol-service and workplace-safety requirements, and works to ensure guest satisfaction. Other duties may be assigned by management. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The position requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.

Requirements

Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training is required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, and reach.

Responsibilities

Set up necessary supplies, food, and beverages at the beginning of the shift and keep the work area stocked.
Take customer orders, enter them, obtain payment, and provide change.
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcohol, when necessary.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, when necessary.
Perform other food and beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods.
Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, submit receipts, and secure the bank according to established policies.
Clean equipment and work areas and lock equipment doors as appropriate.
Follow state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
