About The Position

The Bistro Attendant takes customer orders and prepares and serves food and beverages in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner. The role includes preparing Starbucks coffee beverages and breakfast or light evening fare, including cooking menu items. The attendant helps create a welcoming guest experience, maintains food-service supplies and cleanliness, and contributes to a comfortable, energized working environment.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience as a server, barista, cook, or attendant in a similar setting.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of state and local guidelines regarding alcohol service.
• Computational skills to process guest payments.
• Ability to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to provide friendly, personalized service and help create an energized bar atmosphere.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and change course of action accordingly.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Greet each guest and help them feel important.
• Know the menu, offer suggestions, and answer guest questions.
• Serve guest orders as requested and in accordance with company and brand standards.
• Prepare Starbucks coffee beverages and breakfast or light evening menu items, including cooking.
• Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishware.
• Carry food, dishes, trays, and silverware from the pantry to serving counters.
• Collect dirty dishes and tableware and run them through the dishwasher.
• Clean counters, shelves, furniture, and equipment in the pantry or breakfast area.
• Clean spills and broken items and remove trash as needed.
• Mop or vacuum floors.
• Fill beverage and ice dispensers and stock or refill condiment areas.
• Maintain the look and cleanliness of the bar and its surroundings.
• Anticipate customer needs and adjust actions accordingly.
• Contribute as an active team member to a fun, energized, and comfortable working environment.
